Robert Parker 88 points - The estate’s Barolo normale is typically one of the top wines at this level and the 2003 is no exception. Rich, sweet and generous, it offers plenty of super-ripe fruit with excellent intensity as well as length. Only the harder tannins of the vintage keep the score from going higher. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2013. (Oct 2007)
Wine Spectator 92 points - Big and rich, with loads of blackberry and Indian spices on the nose and palate. Full, chewy, long and rich. This is focused, fresh and structured. Best after 2010. 1,500 cases made. –JS (Oct 15 2007)
