Japanese Whisky

Japanese whiskey is made in a variety of styles. Blended; Grain; Single Malt; Pure Malt; With Age or No Age Statements.

There is a significant influence on Japanese Whiskies from the Scottish Whisky industry. Founding distiller master having studied in Scotland; adopting Scottish designs for their distilleries; and importing malted barley from Scotland. Japanese Whiskies made of malted barley can be reminiscent of a Speyside Scotch or, of a Scotch from Islay when they are peated.
